Dr Mathew Lee - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Mr Mathew Lee is a fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, trained in Melbourne. After completing his fellowship through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he pursued further training in rhinoplasty and breast surgery for both cosmetic and reconstructive purposes overseas in Europe and North America. Mathew is also highly experienced in management of skin cancer, hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. Compassion and empathy with patients along with strong relationships with colleagues and nursing staff are defining characteristics of his personality.

 

Dr Neela Janakiramanan - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Ms Neela Janakiramanan is a Melbourne trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with specific interest and training in hand and wrist surgery. Following completion of her fellowship in Plastic Surgery in 2014, Neela undertook a number of fellowships to further compliment her training. She completed a 12 month hand and wrist surgery fellowship in Melbourne with the Victorian Hand Surgery Associates at St Vincents Hospital. She then spent a further 16months overseas in the Netherlands and India to gain more experience in paediatric and adult hand surgery and major nerve surgery. Neela brings her skills to the Mornington Peninsula at Canvas Plastic Surgery to help fill a long standing need for hand and wrist surgery expertise.

 

Dr Nishant Balakrishnan - Skin Specialist General Practitioner

MBBS, FRACGP, Dip Surgical Anatomy

Dr Nish completed his Medical degree at Melbourne University in 2008, following which he trained at the Austin and Northern Hospitals. He gained significant experience in managing patients with skin cancers during this time. After completing his General Practice training, he continued to work in skin cancer management and furthering his studies in anatomy, skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has a primary role in all aspects of skin cancer management and is dedicated to providing quality patient care.

 

Tara Whitaker - Registered Nurse

Tara Whitaker is a highly experienced nurse with over 20 years experience in both the hospital and clinic setting. She has experience in looking after patients from the time they book surgery, through to the moment they wake up and recover. For the past 9 years, she has focused her attention exclusively on Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic patients. This experience has led her down the natural path to anti-wrinkle injections, fillers and laser skin rejuvenation where she is able to apply her knowledge of aesthetics in a considered manner to help patients achieve their goals. Care, compassion and an eye for detail make her an integral part of the practice.
